Pupils today skipped, ran and hopped their last skip, run and hop on the blank canvas that was our yard! Just after lunch Topline Markings arrived in to completely change it. Over the space of a few hours, we got some colourful and exciting activities painted down, and they will be ready for use tomorrow! We are not sure how the children will be able to wait for the teachers to stop playing, they will have to be very patient...!
The children, PTA and staff were consulted, and the Active Flag Committee made the final decision with Mrs. K! We had to wait for a nice, sunny day...so we have been waiting quite a while :) We owe our fantastic PTA a massive THANK YOU for fundraising, all those cakes you ate last term paid for this! (We are also buying new PE and yard equipment, watch this space!)
There is also a safety line painted from the front pedestrian gate to the Northover Hall entrance, so that teachers and parents can direct the pupils to a safe area in the church car park.
We hope you like our final results!
Welcome back to term three! We have an exciting and busy term ahead, with Sports Day, Active School Week, our end-of-year show extravaganza, as well as squeezing in some tours, and welcoming some student teachers! Thank goodness we all had that long Easter break.
Many thanks to pupils, parents/guardians and teachers for the fantastic 1916 commemoration ceremony. The foyer was beautifully decorated, and we all learned so much about events in Dublin 100 years ago. Well done!
Please note that soccer, hockey, Spanish and Drama are available this term, and your indication of interest is needed by Friday 8th April. Your child has received a paper form, but there is a downloadable version available in the PTA section of the website!
