Coffee Aroma's and Cakes to Welcome New Parents
For junior infants starting school a smiling face from a teacher helps with first day apprehension, but for parents nothings beats a coffee, a chat and one too many baked buns to break the ice between parents 'new and old' to St. Patrick's in 2017-18.
The coffee morning to welcome new parents took place on Friday, September 29th in the Northover Hall. This event was organised by PTA Representative Deirdre Geraghty and hosted by the parents of Senior Infants. The mingling with new parents was enhanced by the strong presence of parents from all class groups.
Many parents were also on hand to help with the set up of the Northover Hall, great St. Patrick's baking, serving and, of course, the washing and cleaning up - thanks to all for involvement and assistance.
The PTA hopes that new pupils and new parents have a memorable experience while attending St. Patrick's. New parent involvement and ideas always welcomed by St. Patrick's National School PTA.
